Village Bus Services
There is a regular service - the 301 - between Bishop's Stortford and Saffron Walden, with four stops located on either side of the Cambridge Road. To check bus timeable, visit Essex County Coucil website and enter Route No. 301 at:
Village Specials
Weekly Service to Bishop's Stortford provided by Viceroy Coaches, Route No. 62. This runs on Thursdays and leaves from Thistley Crescent at approximately 10:10am, and returns from Bishop's Stortford Interchange at 1:00pm, arriving in Rickling at approximately 1:15pm.
There is also a service which runs on Mondays to Bishop's Stortford. This service leaves Rickling Green at 10:02, arriving in Bishop's Stortford at 10:41. It returns from Bishop's Stortford at 12:45, arriving in Rickling Green at 13:24.
The service is run by Essex County Council Community Link and in order to use it passengers must complete an application form to become members of the group. Application forms can be obtained from Berden Parish Council, Dewes Green Farm, Berden, CM23 1AR, or Manuden Parish Council, 27 Stewarts Way, Manuden, CM23 1DR. There is no charge for membership.
Passengers with concessionary bus passes will be able to travel free, otherwise the cost will £2.00 flat fare, whether single or return.
Village Link Bus Service No. 1
This is a school day only service run during term time, operated by Trustline. It stops at Quendon White House (formerly Quendon Arms) at 08:08 and goes to Saffron Walden Church Street via Newport, Audley End Railway Station, Saffron Walden County High School and High Street, Saffron Walden.
It returns in the afternoon, leaving Saffron Walden Church Street at 15:20, stopping as above and reaching Quendon White House at 15:40.
