The Walk4Life website is free and has thousands of walk ideas all over the country. It is part of the “Change4Life” movement to encourage people to be more active. The website uses OS maps which can easily be printed out at home. If you register in the site you can also keep a track of the walks you have done and set yourself a target. Volunteer Centre Uttlesford is an accredited member of Volunteering England. It is a registered charity which offers a free and confidential service. It has three main roles: To help people find suitable volunteering opportunities in Uttlesford and to support them; To help local voluntary and statutory organisations to find volunteers; To promote volunteering and provide a centre of information on all aspects of volunteering. There is always a wide range of volunteering opportunities available across Uttlesford. This includes conservation, befriending, helping with animals, helping at children’s playgroups, providing administration support, driving and many more.
