Taizé Service at Quendon
Sunday 16 March 2014
18:00 to 19:00
Worship in Taizé is very meditative in that it takes small verses and repeats them over & over many times. It is in the repetition of these simple words & rhythms that the meaning of the words have time to move from our mouths to our heads, and our hearts. It is not uncommon for a Taizé song to sung 5 times or more, one after the other. It is a simple, melodic and beautiful form of worship that people can open themselves up to. Whilst there are prayers and other brief liturgy such as a confession the heart of the worship is in the singing, but you don’t have to be a professional singer.
